Traditional work

Mr Makke is originally from Nabatieh , south Lebanon . At 18 years old he worked in few carpenter’s shops as an apprentice.
In 1966, he wanted his independency, he created his workshop in the suburbs in south Beirut where a lot of people just like him comes from south Lebanon, looking for work in the city.

With a period, economically and financially stable, he took advantage and sold its production in the local market. The events of 1975 disturbed the fragile and peaceful balance.

In 1977, he got in touch with the l’Artisan du Liban ,whose started its actions to the service of the skilled artist at their trade.

To achieve the actual level of production, quality requirements and variations on the basic model .Even the introduction of the new articles or elements was brought by l’Artisan du Liban designer group. A continuous collaboration between the two sides has been establish for more than 10 years.
